Q: In the guts of my A500 I found 4 empty slots for RAM. Can I fill them with RAM?
A: Yes. If you don't have belly expansion (A501) You can add 4 chips and get 1MB of RAM. If your AGNUS is possible to handle 1MB of chip RAM you can get it. Just Open JP7A and reswitch JP2. If you can't use 1MB of chips ram, shorten JP7A to activate new chips For more information check Aminet Q: Can I increase clock speed of my MC68000 from 7MHz to something more? A: Yes. You can get 14MHz. Get new 68000 * 16MHz install it. Build divider from 28MHz master clock to 14MHz and feed CPU clock pin. You'll get problems while reading from floppy and with RS232. A: If you dont need to salvage board, use torch burner on soldering side, heat the board until it began to burn. Then strike the board upon the table and you'll get all the chips spread in the whole room! :) I guarantee that 90% of chips will be good. (if they were good in board) Q: Can I use PC parallel backup devices on Amiga? A: I think that no. Better use something from SCSI familly. They are quicker.
