About Savel




History:

Savel is just my name spelled in reverse. Levas-saveL. I don't know the date I decided to use such nick. I fact, the internet was not invented in that time. Searching in my home archyve, in my old textbooks I found this words.
I made some calculations and I can say that Savel "incorporated" circa 1984. So, we are quite old as a "company".
My first computer were Atari 65 familly. My good friend had ZX Spectrum clone and we had good time arguing "WHO IS THE BEST". Then I sold my old Atari and bought amazing Amiga 500. THIS IS THE COMPUTER. The computer in capital letters. The sound and graphics was top (in that time). After some experiment with computer hardware I killed my A500. This was very sad time. Don't forget that I was living in Soviet Union and computers were very rare and very very expensive. I was stuck back to selfmade ZX and ORION128 computer. I need to fix my A500. The problem was with 8520 chip. Thanks to same friend, I managed to get chip from some national TV station. they used Amiga's for broadcast.
Next computer was A1200. Quite cool computer. Saddly that company dead and the world was occupied with PC clones. After some time my A1200 died. Now I have small part of this computer mainboard on my key ring. But it was new time- and I bought new A1200 quite fast. After some time some addon for my computer. I still have this computer in my closet. Also I bought Atari65XE just to remmember how it looks like.
But the time runs fast, I was stuck with small power of Amiga computer- only 25MHz of MC68040 and 160MHz of PowerPC chip. From old scrap I buid some work computer for myself- it was quite old P2-450MHz one. But new digital world conquered me- it was too week.
I was forced to get new computer. This is my first PC/Windows computer I bought- I wonder how much money I saved not buying any 386/486/P1-K7/P2/P3/Celeron/Duron stuff? I jumped to P4 world. It is quite noisy P4 3GHz, 1.5G of RAM, I_dont_know Gbytes of disk space and no 3D card! It is just i915 chipset.
Why no 3d? It is another story. In early Doom1 and Doom2 time I was stuck in doom world. Maybe I was a bit sick after playing non-stop this game, but now I can't play any 3D game. I have seasickness. Quite strange? :)
